Founding Band members and first cousins Max Luger and Jay Calhoun found themselves in situations at a young age being propositioned by older well established women who were old enough to be their mothers. Hence the birth of the band name Food For Cougars. With influences ranging from the likes of Johnny Cash, Neil Young, 60s-era folk courtesy Bob Dylan to more modern masters such as Two Chains and Joy Division.
Max Luger and Jay Calhoun have bounced around the nation on their pursuit of musical expression with a beautiful 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. Their traveling concert, which is complete with a PA system, a fog blower, and a full light show, roars town to town on eight cylinders of RAW AMERICAN FURY!
Together, they are Food for Cougars; a prime source of nutrients suited for even the most experienced cats.
